Winter Wedding at Home House London
Sarah and Andy
Wedding Location: Home House, London
Wedding Photographer: Nathalie Delente
Sarah and Andy planned the most perfect intimate winter wedding in the presence of only their closest family and friends. Their wedding had all the magic of December and beautiful Christmas feels.
“the colour theme was sage green and gold”
Sarah and Andy were one of those lucky couples who found love online! They had their first date along Southbank in London and their romance grew from that point onwards!
Sarah is originally from the Philippines and Andy from London, and once Andy had popped the question they decided to have a quick wedding, and only had 5 months to plan their day.
Their wedding at Home House was an intimate affair with their closest friends and family. Sarah’s parents and a few of her friends had flown over from the Philippines to be with them.
Sarah really wanted to incorporate as much as possible from the Philippines in the wedding. So these were in the form of the wedding souvenirs for guests. They’re lotus-shaped candleholders made of capiz shells (windowpane oysters) which are popular local decorative materials .
They also customised a wax seal made with both their initials for our wedding invitations.
There were a few DIY items such as the beautifully designed order of service and decorations in the guestbook (jenga) table. They also bought the candleholders, candles, fairy lights and sparkler. Music choices were mostly by the groom.
The venue, Home House is the most perfect choice for Sarah and Andy. The Bridal and groom preparations took place upstairs which meant that everyone was able to get ready close to each other. There is something to be said for getting ready and having the ceremony all in one location!
Home House was dressed with the most amazing Christmas decorations and the iconic stairway laden with baubles and foliage.
The ceremony room was cost and intimate, this was later turned round in to the dining room where the guests would later sit down for the wedding breakfast.
I made use of the gorgeous stairway for some couple and family shots but also we had access to the quaint courtyard within Portman Square, so we went outside and caught the last of the afternoons light.
